TREASURE ISLAND, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2017) — With numerous motorsport-speedway tests in the books, the "outlaw" bad boys and girls of X Class Drone Racing are getting ready to excite autoracing fans at a variety of motorsports and flying-field venues across California.

The season kicks off on Jan. 20th, 2018 in Livermore, CA. X Class features monster drones measuring nearly 40-inches diagonally, clocking over 100mph, flown in FPV (first person view) by world-class drone racing pilots.

Speedway fans will enjoy a circuit-racing format much like the Reno Air Races, while at the flying field venues X Class will fly classic serpentine-course format.

The full 2018 schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

“We are the only racing organization in the world to run real giant drone races to date, and our progress in 2017 has been at breakneck pace,” stated X Class CEO Noah Furhman. "At the speedways, the passing and side-by-side racing action has been intense and constant. Expect these multi-motored flying beasts to break track records everywhere. Race fans are in for a treat."

The circuit format at speedways will blend in with the traditional show as an added division with Hot Laps, Heat Races & Main Events.
